STEP #3:
Publishing Photos
Photo sharing web sites are a way to publish a collection of digital photos in one location and in an organized fashion. To organize the photos, tags are used. A tag is a keyword assigned to a photo, describing the item so it can searched. Much like the Dewey Decimal System, it's a way of classifying data but you get to decide what terms to use. Take pictures with a digital camera of the library, your family, a tree or anything.

Find the cable that connects your computer to the camera.

Load the pictures from the camera to a computer.
Don't worry. There is a digital camera available at the Computer Assistance Desk. Please see available times for usage.

- Go back to Flickr.
- Sign in with the Yahoo ID : schaumburg20 and the password : schaum20
- Click Upload Photos.
- Click Browse. Select the photo to upload from the computer and click Open.

- You will need to add tags to your picture.
- Click Upload.
- Now add a Title, a 50 word description of your photo. Please write positive descriptions and check facts as necessary.
- Click Save.
- Go to the Flickr page showing your uploaded photo and click the RSS feed. You can now monitor when others post their picture to Flickr.
- Now go to your blog and post your experience.
